Things We Lost in the Fire (2008)
For the most part avoids the traps. Great casting young and old. Del Toro a standout.
We're No Angels (1989)
Great cast of Ray McAnally, Wallace Shawn and De Niro (handling a lighter role well). Penn not too bad in this one. Production values excellent but the plot weakens the longer the film goes on.
Twixt (2011)
Some atmospheric moments. Bruce Dern scene steals.
Miss Potter (2006)
Don't know what accent Zellweger was employing – her enunciation was poor. Some good location shooting.
Amazing Spider-Man 2, The (Rise of Electro) (2014)
Not too bad if you still have an appetite for more super hero movies.
P.S. I Love You (2007)
Good female cast led by the great Hilary Swank but its far too long and gets soppy.
Mask, The (1994)
A watchable Carrey film thanks to the visuals but above all the mask.
Love is All You Need (2012)
Made for the commercial market/american audiences.
Crazies, The (2010)
Doesn't add value to what already exists.
Searchers, The (1956)
The acting is pretty ordinary but what will make the film survive are the locations and the photography.
