Poison Ivy (1992): Sara and Drew work very well as a team and the screenplay is at its best in its early scenes when they are together most.
Soylent Green (1973): Another Godlike performance from Heston detracts somewhat but the screenplay is interesting enough to survive.
Cat Person (2023): I nearly came to like this – I don't know where they dug the male up from but he was a little different. It was too long however for the material and it would have been better with a more compact screenplay.
Maximum Overdrive (1986): Enjoyable if in the mood. The screenplay doesn't do things by halves.
Sleeper (1973): Most of the comedy, particularly the physical, is still worth a watch 50 years on.
Larry Crowne (2011): It was pleasant enough.
Cyborg (1989): Violence for violence sake.
Magicians (2007): My introduction to Mitchell and Webb.
Human Traffic (1999): The soundtrack is integral to the screenplay.
Life After Beth (2014): Not a bad plot idea and despite a lively performance from Aubrey Plaza as a walking dead it doesn't work as well as it could have – the comedy is a bit forced.
