Hans’s Film Reviews

- Zachariah (1970)
- Watchable purely for Don Johnson's riveting performance as the conflicted cowboy, illustrating his acting chops ,which would lead onto greater movie & TV roles (Miami Vice)
- Isadora (1968)
- Starts out with good intentions, but looses it's way during the long 130 minute run. Redgrave's performance doesn't elicit any sympathy for her mood swinging character, which leaves one disappointed in this film.
- Ballad of Tam-Lin, The (The Devil's Widow) (1970)
- For film buffs, this is an interesting film, very 60's vibe with the dialogue and fashions, and a story that is part satire and part horror. Roddy McDowall never directed again after the studio butchered his film on release.
- Blu-Ray $34.95
- Mapp and Lucia (TV Mini-series) (1984)
- Geraldine McEwan and Prunella Scales (Faulty Towers) are the two antagonists in a battle of wits. Nigel Hawthorne gives a very camp performance to add to this delightful biting satire on upper class village life in 1930's England.
- Nothing but the Best (1964)
- Surprisingly still good, despite being made over 50 years ago, with it's wry black comedy observations of the 1960's class structure, with brilliant whimsical performance by Alan Bates
