Aroview: Bradley Cooper debuts impressively as director while sparking the right chemistry in front of the camera with real-life pop starlet-turned-actress Lady Gaga for this fresh (and fourth) screen adaptation of the show-biz tragedy.
He plays a seasoned but troubled country musician who discovers and falls for a struggling artist whose career then soars above his, sending their relationship into turmoil.
2 stars (Good Try) We didn't really need another one. There were a couple of tuneful numbers but these were not played out in full and in the main the choice of music was average. There was little in the casting in this version to hold ones attention.~tubbs
