Soundtrack to War

Aroview: A decidedly oblique, ground-level view of the war in Iraq (post -9/11) which takes the musical listening habits and creations of US troops as its starting point.

The Australian dir. finds a plethora of different tastes, including 'Gore Metal', Hiphop, Country, Rock and Folk, which serve to release tensions and aid sanity. This also includes interviews with various Iraqi musicians, including a rock-group and BeeGees cover-group, which again give insight into the disturbing dislocations of war.
