Aroview: A handsomely staged French (though English language) production of the life of Napoleon Bonaparte (Clavier) from his youthful antics, military campaigns, intrigues, imprisonment and eventual death.

Although graced with a splendid budget and international cast this suffers somewhat from the effort of compressing the historical era into its running time. Even so, historical accuracy is well maintained, and Malkovich provides enjoyment as Bonaparte's slimy collaborator Tallyrand.
