Aroview: Dramatically-ambitious dir. Ghosh here creates an understated chamber piece from the usual Bollywood melodramatics, staging a rainy-day reunion between two former childhood friends, one of whom carries the torch of unrequited love.

Heavy on circular conversation and melancholic mood, this excavates a familiar romantic pathos with a pair of startling performances from Devgan and Rai (BRIDE AND PREJUDICE). Gracefully filmed, it provides an attractive and reasonably unusual detour for fans of Indian cinema.
