Aroview: 'Notorious' thriller set amid a world of South American drug-smuggling sleazebags, which supposedly climaxes with an actual filmed murder.

Cashing in on the Manson murders of the early 70's, this morbid fantasy comes over as rather half-hearted (and extremely badly acted), but the shameful hippie dialogue and truly bizarre dubbing has its own tacky reward, while the adjuct finale retains a certain queasy power.

Note: In actual fact, exploitation producer Allan Shackleton bought the rights to an obscure Argentian film called "Slaughter", onto which he grafted a specially-commissioned "snuff" scene to capitalize on a popular urban legend. The title was changed to 'Snuff' and a cinematic legend was born...
