Book of Love
Aroview: A moody Sundance Festival entry plots the entry of a young student into the life of a 'cultured' couple: his school history teacher and more pertinently, his attractive wife.
Conjured with a darkly toned soundtrack and several memorable scenes by its debuting director, this unfortunately tends to stumble around in the murkiness of its characters' motivations without being suggestive in the right ways. Still, it has obviously been constructed with visual intelligence and its idiosyncracies could well be overlooked.
