Aroview: David Mamet brings his penetrating tete-a-tete about sexual agendas from the stage to screen in purely theatrical form. Stay with its bare-bones style and prepare for a battle of the sexes at its most complex, disturbing, provocative, and revelatory.

3 stars (Good Enough) Demonstrates that, for all his gifts as a writer, Mamet's a poor director of actors and camera alike. Still: the play itself is extraordinary (he saw #metoo coming decades ago) so, if you can't be bothered reading it, this adaptation's worthwhile. ~fairbrother
