Aroview: There is no pause in the blood-letting for this sequel to HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, with dir. Zombie continuing the saga of the murderous Firefly family, here erupting from their tourist-trap for a police-chase across the southern States.

Lacquered with Confederate rock-songs from the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, this again revels in a horror universe of ramshackle backwoods Americana, but without quite the fetching glee of the original. Only Forsyth as a vengeful sherriff strikes a new note of OTT hilarity.

3 stars (Good Enough) A more coherent outing than Zombie's previous, this blend of action and horror will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. Provided that you’re not shy of a little… well, a lot, of blood. ~Tom H
