Quiet Family, The
Aroview: A deliciously deadpan black comedy in which a respectable family decide to leave the rat race behind, buy a hotel in remote mountains and lead more fulfilling lives.
Unfortunately, they become embroiled in efforts to cover up the suicide of their first guest, who killed themselves in a particularly newsworthy way, publicity about which they fear may ruin their business plans. Unfolding a macabre waltz of corpse burial, hitmen, and assorted practical issues, this strikes an untidy balance between mordant wit and quirkiness (the soundtrack is very eclectic). By the way, if the plot sounds familiar, that's because Takashi Miike remade the film as HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS.
