Aroview: The slinky, rubber-clad Kate Beckinsale continues her Vampiric crusade against 'the Lycans' (Werewolves) in this obligatory sequel to the darkly futuristic action-horror UNDERWORLD.
In this outing, Beckinsale tracks the origins of the centuries-old feud back to Eastern Europe and arch-progenitor Derek Jacobi, all the time pursued by his monstrous bat-winged son, who is looking to free an even more evil relative from a long-forgotten prison cell. Plot incoherence aside, this sports enough interesting techno-driven action and ominous dialogue to keep hungry sci-fi-ers satiated.

3 stars (Good Enough) Attempting to develop the rich Vampire world, Underworld Evolution goes back to the origins of the vampire-werewolf feud. Keeps its distinct sleek-blue visual look, but not as unique or fun as the first. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) Has a British cast that many productions could only dream about. The set designs and make up are very good but the special effects are noisy and the plot consists of action on top of action but little else. ~Tubbs
