Room
Aroview: Inner visions of a mysterious, expansive "room" begin to afflict a dejected, struggling-class woman (Williams), and, after a near car accident, she abandons her home and family in a quest to understand their source.
Seeking out any possible path to explanation, she eventually arrives in New York City for a final (non)-explanation for her problems. Dir. Henry creates an effective drama out of entropy and disassociation invading ordinary life, and while his socio-political subtext draws too long a bow, there's no denying his skill in crafting a original mood of visceral disturbance.
