Aroview: Super-inventive, grungy portrait of a maths genius who slides into a maelstrom of paranoia as he get closer to 'cracking the code' that may or may not hold the key to salvation, fortune or existence for various opportunists.
This exemplary exercise is 'guerilla chic' levers a huge bang for its no-budget buck through frenetic editing, a seamlessly integrated techno soundtrack and an edgy lead performance by Sean Gullette.

4 stars (Very Good) A very gritty black and white indie film by the now-heralded genius Aronofsky, this math geek premise is heavy on near-psychotic confusion and conspiracy, but there is little ultimate resolution. Part Eraserhead, part something entirely unique. ~Tom H
3 stars (Good Enough) It was good, but I probably would've enjoyed it more if I watched it when I was still 20something. ~Truant
5 stars (Exceptional) Aronofsky's bare bones catharsis piece "π" confirm's fractal desire of agenda vs truth: "If you know ...you know". ~Dr_'n'
