Aroview: This subtly gripping and rewarding portrait of neurosis stars Julianne Moore as a fragile '80s LA housewife who takes refuge at a health compound in a desperate bid to overcome her allergy to the 20th Century. The film also succeeds in its even-handed, non-judgemental presentation, and yet dir. Haynes retains a strong editorial voice. Because of this, not everyone will appreciate it for what it is - a near masterpiece.
