Dir. Burgess and his co-creators fuse the narrative complexity of Japanese 'anime' and a sophisticated use of 'Flash' animation to tell a futuristic tale of four individuals who begin to experience apocalyptic visions, connected to an orbiting array of satellites, a vast conspiracy and other portents. While the style (complete with comicbook balloons) takes a while to get used to, the ride is well worth the commitment.
