Aroview: Although not fulfilling the audacious thematic ambitions signalled by its title, this media satire does conjure a watchably absurd vision of the US as a giant amateur talent show run by sleazy host Hugh Grant, on the search for the next exploitable 'new thing'.

Lead contenders are a scheming starlet (Moore) and a Sinatra-impersonating Arab (Golzari), who happens to be an undercover jihadist, and things go really crazy when a bumbling US President (Quaid) becomes a judge on the show to improve his political ratings. Timely stuff, although a tad broad and predictable, this is still enjoyably blunt and certainly not boring.
