Ray Harryhausen: The Early Years Collection

Aroview: Splendid swag of early short films from special f/x pioneer Ray Harryhausen, many using the mature stop-motion style of his work in features like JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS. These include advertisments and educational films, but most notably many fairy-tale and nursery-rhyme adaptations like "Little Miss Muffet", "Old Mother Hubbard", "The Queen of Hearts", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Hansel and Gretel", "King Midas" and "The Tortoise and The Hare".

A second disc includes a plethora of featurettes about Harryhausen and his work, including a 30-minute "Tribute" from admirers such as Rick Barker, Ray Bradbury, Tim Burton and Peter Jackson.
