Matando Cabos
Aroview: Energetic Mexican 'farce of errors' in which two teenagers kidnap a coldly ruthless businessman, not realising he is also a coveted prize for a criminal gang, who mistakenly snatch the janitor instead, leading to a spiralling quagmire of narrative cross-hatching.
Highly amusing - in a vulgar, obscene and violent kind of way - this betrays the strong influence of Guy Ritchie (SNATCH) and Quentin Tarantino (PULP FICTION), but has a hopped-up Mexican energy all its own and manages to take a few potshots at the endemic corruption and class-warfare of Mexico City.
