Dark Portals - Vidocq

Aroview: Before the diabolical CATWOMAN, French visual effects maestro Pitof directed this wildly eccentric 19th century mythology, pitting the historical figure of Vidocq (Depardieu) against a supernatural murderer dubbed 'The Alchemist'.

Fantasy fans will delight in the extravagant melding of history with 21st century aesthetics, and visually, this manages to compensate for any shortcomings – narrative or otherwise – apparent elsewhere in the film.
