Aroview: High-concept survival horror where a group of young delinquents are sent to a remote island for a 'character-building' exercise, only to be pursued by a killer armed with a pack of dogs and a crossbow.

Some of the twists and turns here echo LORD OF THE FLIES, although there isn't quite enough character development to justify the comparison, dir. Bassett putting all his efforts into grinding tension and sudden shocks. Regardless, in this department he has considerable skill, and the end result is a lean little entry more concerned with its sense of dread than its hack-n-slash.
