Hot Rod
Aroview: Believing he is the long-lost son of an Evel Knievel offsider, Saturday Night Live alumnus Andy Samburg (LAZY SUNDAY) plays an accident-prone stuntman out to fund his abusive stepfather's heart operation and win the heart of the girl next door.
Another frat-pack comedy knockoff at first glance, don’t be so quick to judge it by its cover: applying SNL pedigree and postmodernist smarts to its generic but functional underdog story, this anti-Sandler, Ferrell-esque yukfest-with-a-heart hits more than it misses with its arbitrary punchlines and random sense of mayhem and humour.

1 star (Turkey) I actually really like the people in this cast, but they never really gel and it's seldom funny. My partner saw the "cool. beans" scene and said, "this is what it's like to have a brother." That's the most positive thing we have to say. ~Pop&Coffee
