Fracture
Aroview: A you-know-whodunnit legal psychodrama with Anthony Hopkins as a wealthy businessman who shoots his wife dead, then plays a cruel (if familiar) game of Lecter-esque cat and mouse with Ryan Gosling's young and hungry DA.
Played out pretty much by the book, most of the drama is derived from the Hopkins' manipulation of the justice system at our hero's expense, though it is the same red tape that eventually ties him up in a cleverly ironic twist.

4 stars (Very Good) Hopkins is back to his creepy 'Hannibal' role, uncannily pulling all the strings with intricate mind-games and a sadistic sense of humour. Suspenseful and entertaining, this is well-worth seeing. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) ~atsophie
2 stars (Good Try) Whatever strengths the plot had were diluted by the plodding pace of events. Hopkins made it more interesting than it would be otherwise. ~Tubbs
