King of the Hill
Aroview: A well-crafted, believable take on the lost-in-the-woods genre, about a man who follows an attractive stranger into the Spanish high country where he becomes the target of an aggressive sniper.
Traverses thriller terrain more than horror through refreshingly restrained direction that maintains a tight grip, and served well by the two leads, photography and soundtrack, and the ruggedly handsome, foreboding countryside. Changing tack about two-thirds in, the film adds another intriguing dimension even if it never develops enough complexity to leave a permanent impression.
