Aroview: Another stroke of Pixar genius, this time one for our conservationist times, this is the delightful eco-tale of the last surviving "waste allocation" robot whose life is changed by the arrival of a hi-tech soulmate named "Eve".
The first 40 minutes is a model of visual storytelling with just the two characters and almost no dialogue, with the beautifully rendered 'life-like' animation once again trumping Pixar's previous bar-setting standards. The second half takes several unexpected twists though it explores more conventional and familiar territory, but like all of Pixar's best films, it has a satisfying sense of purpose underlying its reliably sharp and abundant humour, innovation, and techno-dazzle.

4 stars (Very Good) Pixar break into sci-fi brilliantly, but it does feel a bit too preachy. I almost expected Al Gore to walk onto the frame. ~dr.strangelove
5 stars (Exceptional) Gentle-natured cute little recycling robot goes on a mission to find his new hi-tech friend Eve, sent from outer-space, who he encounters while she's visiting Earth to seek out signs of life. Pixar at it's best, with a 'save-the-planet' message. ~GenXGirl
5 stars (Exceptional) Beautiful. Absolutely spectacular. The first 40 minutes is an amazing throwback to silent films, the rest is a stunning Pixar adventure. ~Wizzums
