Strangers, The
Aroview: A home invasion horror orcestrated with rare tension and restraint, concerning a couple’s night of terror at the hands of three masked assailants.
Effective and economically filmed up until its midway point, the film begins to lose its grip – as well the viewer’s patience – through its second half, with the tightly-coiled threat of confrontation (not to mention the shifty gamesmanship of the intruders) becoming an irritating tease. Refreshing, though, is its lack of illogic and gore, and those easily scared by strange noises in the night will find this no less than an unnerving experience.
