Slacker Uprising
Aroview: Footage from Michael Moore's political crusade in 2004 to convince the masses of young non-voters - aka slackers - to give voting a try.
Bribing the masses with ramen noodles and underwear (really?) Moore moves from city to city in what could be called a 'revolution', yet the film feels less about youth voting and more about the celebrity of the charismatic Captain Mike himself, with most of the footage concentrating on his fervent celebrity supporters or Christian and/or right wing naysayers. Ultimately, in retrospect, the whole thing feels slighty redundant considering the election result. If only it had been made four years later.
