Deal, The
Aroview: William H. Macy penned and stars in this mild showbiz satire, focused on a down-and-out producer who must bluff his way into getting a film made by fabricating an attachment with an A-list star.
Although this strives to be a vicious commentary on the cut-throat world of Hollywood, it's broad approach brings no new criticisms. Regardless, it is elevated by a fine performance from Macy at his grumpy, pitiful best.
