Aroview: David Duchovny wrestles with the possibility that his dead wife’s soul has been transferred to his teenage daughter’s body in this bizarre French production, itself a remake of a Japanese film.

Not dissimilar from the resurrection-themed BIRTH, yet far less nuanced or convincing, dir Perez’s film suffers invariably from its blending of French and American sensibilities, while the idea of sex-crazed Duchovny contemplating incest is too absurdist a notion for it to be taken seriously. Confounding and misguided, but a curiosity all the same.
