Aroview: Controversial mockümentary starring Baron Cohen as a gay Aüstrian fashion joürnalist who travels to the USA to become 'the biggest Aüstrian süperstar since Hitler.'
Although Cohen tries his best to repeat another savage expose of society that he achieved in BORAT, his laser-beam feels too directionless to be as effective. Playing up flamboyant homosexuality to appall the easy target of conservative America is a question of taste(lessness), and although many of his wince-inducing stunts are still hilarious in their audacity, one is left wishing they had more of a point. Still, those feeling diminished returns will still appreciate the spectacular finale that demonstrates Cohen's unbelievable backbone - or unbelievable insanity.

2 stars (Good Try) At times feeling controversial and disturbing simply because it 'can', Bruno fails to shock or impress in the way that Borat did. Still very Cohen, but the charm has worn thin. ~Tom H
5 stars (Exceptional) If you like this kind of humour its hilarious ~emjay
1 star (Turkey) As comedy is a fine art this disqualifies itself from that genre. ~Tubbs
