Terminator Salvation
Aroview: Po-faced fourth installment in the TERMINATOR franchise sees a grizzly John Connor (Bale) lead the resistance against SKYNET and its army of terminators in a post-apocalyptic future.
Helmed by ex-music video director Joseph 'McG' Nichol, this is a predictably explosion-heavy ride, yet lacks the heart and sense of humour so crucial to James Cameron's original vision. The result is a series of nonsensical action-sequences, although an earnest turn from Sam Worthington as a confused anti-hero provides some saving grace.

3 stars (Good Enough) Lacking in the same attitude as the original 2 Terminator films, Salvation has some enjoyable action moments and special effects, plus a cool bass-heavy score, but never quite reaches the heights hoped of a reboot. ~Tom H
3 stars (Good Enough) Average, Sam Worthington is unimpressive. ~dr.strangelove
3 stars (Good Enough) Average and ultimately forgettable. Worthington is flat and Bale is growly, as per usual. ~Wizzums
