Aroview: Perfectly typecast, Michael Cera plays an adorable, sexually-frustrated "nice guy" who invents a trouble-making alter ego - Francois Dillinger - in order to win over the girl of his dreams.
Given its risk-taking premise (and title) this plays it relatively safe as a hipster-nerd rom-com, with its sweet central romance, sex-and-scat humour and familiar roster of oddball characters, but like the recent 500 DAYS OF SUMMER, has the credentials to prove a Gen-Y audience favourite. Cera fans will enjoy him twice as much is dual roles, and newcomer Portia Doubleday's star will surely rise from here. Based on the cult teen novel by C.D. Payne.

3 stars (Good Enough) ~Sarah
2 stars (Good Try) The screenplay was unnecessarily juvenile at times. The biggest disappointment however was the waste of the adult cast - they had small parts. You wish Cera & co. could be pushed to one side to give the adults a crack even if it meant re-titling the film. ~Tubbs
