Rolling Stones - Stones in Exile
Aroview: A vivid retrospective rock-doc that looks at the creation and impact of the Rolling Stones' 1972 epochal album "Exile on Main St", made largely in France where the band had taken up residence as tax exiles.
Told in the band’s own words (Keith Richards is lucid and articulate!) and through a basement full of recently discovered footage, the "patchwork" approach is an appropriate fit for the Stones' shambling masterpiece, and the film emerges as a rock 'n' roll timepiece to treasure.
