Town Without Pity

Aroview: Bitter legal drama with Kirk Douglas defending four American soldiers charged with the gang rape of a young German woman.

Somewhat sluggish in its execution and burdened with an intrusive voice-over, this is still more than a curio due to a disconcerting portrayal of the legal system that's still topical. In a film populated by repulsive characters Kirk Douglas' lawyer is particularly unpleasant. Fan's of Gene Pitney's title song will find their appetite's well and truly sated here.
