USA 2011, 105 minutes
Dir. Neil Burger
Rating: [M]
Genres: Suspense/Crime, Science Fiction
Topics: Mindwarp, Business & Economics.
Aroview: Dynamic thriller in the hyper-reality genre that follows a struggling writer who discovers a top-secret brain-enhancing drug which enables him to move and shake with New York's business elite.
Bradley Cooper cuts a dashing figure in executive pin-stripes and the rest of the film is similarly clean cut and confident. Preposterous it may be, but it stops short of being "silly" as it effectively indulges a particular adult fantasy about one's expanded capacity to live each day to the max.

3 stars (Good Enough) If there was a two-and-a-half star option... It started well, but in the end we groaned ~gecko
4 stars (Very Good) ~mvvm
2 stars (Good Try) It's a shame the scriptwriters hadn't taken the brain-enhancing drug. There were a couple of good scenes of people running. And as for Bradley Cooper, I have an abiding desire to see him punched in the face. But that's just me. ~HiFi
2 stars (Good Try) The screenplay has its moments but overall it is unconvincing - perhaps a stronger lead casting would have helped. ~Tubbs
