Bedevilled

Aroview: Nasty, though serious-minded Korean horror about a city dweller who, upon returning to the remote island of her youth, discovers her childhood friend trapped in an horrific cycle of violence.

Vaguely exploitational, and certainly not for the squeamish, this paints a dark, psychological portrait of the nature of abuse while manipulating its protagonist - and audience's - lust for revenge to the absolute extreme.
