Freakonomics
“Equal parts journalistic expose and targeted anthropological dissection, [this] slick anthology production... makes heavy ideas go down easy.”~Eric Kohn , IndieWIRE
Aroview: The authors of 'Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist' pass on the baton to six documentarians in this diverse exploration of social phenomena through (and around) statistical data and conventional wisdom.
Convening the director's of highly successful feature docs SUPER SIZE ME, ENRON, JESUS CAMP, THE KING OF KONG and WHY WE FIGHT, this is almost as interesting in form as it is in content, with perhaps Eugene Jarecki's Sumo Wrestling segment the stylistic highlight. The sum of these parts are provocative, entertaining, and endearingly nerdy.
