Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure
Aroview: The viral phenomenon of two aging, foul-mouthed room-mates at each others throats is explored in this wildly entertaining doco, centred on the young men who recorded the explicit verbal battle that raged on in the neighbouring Californian apartment.
As in the not unsimilar WINNEBAGO MAN, this examines the phenomenon of 'reality bites' commodified as cult entertainment, here extending into thornier arguments relating to the copyright of surreptitiously-recorded material. Pre-dating the viral explosion afforded by internet technologies, this instead provides a curious window into the now quaint fanzine and DIY cassette culture of the 80's and early 90's.
