4 stars (Very Good) You wonder where it is all going .... and there is a moving twist at the end. Basted slowly, but worth the wait. ~Davidicus
3 stars (Good Enough) Beautifully made movie, for someone who is interested in history/cookery a must see movie. ~Anon
0 star (Not rated) A lovely film, with its tension between the sensual and the ascetic. Much enriched too by reading Isak Dinesen's story. ~ets
3 stars (Good Enough) The visit of the General is contrived. The feast is of little interest to those of us who enjoy fish & chips but the Norwegian shore location is beautiful & can be appreciated as can the wardrobe.Overall an interesting blend of bleakness & subtle humour. ~Tubbs
