Aroview: HBO throw the kitchen sink at the 2008 financial crisis with this heavy-hitting reenactment of events leading up to the TARP bailout.

The enormity of the financial crimes committed notwithstanding, dir. Hanson's orchestration of drama feels strained and overreaching at times, though there's still plenty to glean from the shocking chronicle of business failings, no matter how much scenery is chewed by the star-studded cast along the way.
