Deathgasm
“an affectionate skewering of coming-of-age tropes, metal culture and New Zealand mundanity.”~Anton Bitel
Aroview: Bloody-minded Kiwi horror-comedy has two teenage metal fans stirring up trouble in small-town New Zealand when they accidentally summon an ancient evil entity known as The Blind One while trying to escape their mundane lives.
Inaugural winner of the NZ "Make My Horror Movie" competition, this exudes both character and confidence about headbanger and schlock culture, with excellent performances from the three leads, though it's not so much recommended for those partial to the maxim that "less is more".

2 stars (Good Try) Has done its best to have some original ideas in the proceedings - not an easy task when the genre is flooded - hasn't really succeeded in this but is watchable. ~Tubbs
