Hateful Eight, The
Synopsis: An extremely bloody western from Tarantino that features a typically stellar cast as a group of miscreants and misanthropes holed up in a cabin in a bleak Wyoming winter.
“It's everything you'd expect from this exasperatingly unruly writer-director: cinematically adventurous, generically self-conscious, entertainingly performed, editorially ill-disciplined.”~Mark Kermode, The Observer

4 stars (Very Good) Even talkier than usual for being setbound, this precocious black comedy is still QT's best-realised film in decades. Fun seeing this cast play the thin-but-rich script as Guignol pantomime, plus it's gloriously shot and scored, too. ~fairbrother
1 star (Turkey) This indulgence is a world apart from his classic. It just drags and gets boring. It loses a * because of the violence meted out to Jennifer. ~Tubbs
