Aroview: Bleak snowbound western has a gang of outlaws terrorizing the inhabitants of a small farming town.

Shot in stark black and white this is a markedly stripped down western. De Toth's use of landscape is comparable to Anthony Mann in his prime but the film has a cumulative power all of its own.
