Girl Asleep
“An exuberant example of imaginative filmmaking that takes its cues from imagination and talent.”~Variety
Aroview: Based on the theatre production, this colourful coming-of-age tale set in 1970’s Australia expressively journeys into the absurd, scary and beautiful mind of a teenager who dreads the prospect of leaving her childhood on the cusp of her 15th Birthday.

3 stars (Good Enough) Not all of the ideas have translated well - e.g. the dream sequence is over-ambitious. However, when an idea does work it is excellent as is the choreography, artwork & set designs. Bethany Whitmore is the glue but the dick head dad is the scene-stealer. ~Tubbs
