Aroview: Esteemed British director Andrea Arnold changes pace in her American debut, taking a cast of mostly non-actors through a poetically burnt-out Midwest in this propulsive road movie.
The basic premise of a poor girl running away from an abusive family with a bunch of misfits (including love-interest Lebeouf) is sound tracked indulgently, and rides out its equally indulgent 162-minute run-time with unrelenting youthful energy.

3 stars (Good Enough) The early scenes promised something similar to "Fish Tank" but the longer this drama went on that hope dissipated. It does have worthwhile segments but it would have been better if they had been closer together & the running time shortened. ~Tubbs
