Odyssey, The
Aroview: A shimmering yet unvarnished biopic of pioneering Frenchman Jacques Cousteau, who invented the aqualung and went on to become a world-famous global mariner through his American-backed television show.
Neatly condensing a thirty-year timeframe, the film brings satisfying insight to his passion as an adventurer and conservationist and his flaws as a family man, but mostly serves as a fittingly spectacular tribute to his professional legacy and legend.

5 stars (Exceptional) Cousteau's family adventures. Characters true to life, on meeting Cousteau I recognized the ruthless driver behind 60 years of ocean exploration & transition from technocrat to conservationist. No-one has done more for the world's oceans. ~Sandy
2 stars (Good Try) A commercial offering. A documentary that included archival footage would have done the trick rather than a drama. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) ~Anonz
