Bumblebee
“An impassioned ode to both the toys and their era, this, at last, is the Transformers movie we’ve been waiting for.”~Empire
Aroview: This sixth installment in the live-action Transformers film series gets a fresh, family-friendly "reboot" with a 1980s period setting (and obligatory soundtrack), spunky female lead, and a new director finally taking over from the gung-ho Michael Bay.
The set-up involves the battle-scarred Bumblebee takes refuge in a Californian junkyard where he is discovered by a seventeen-year-old kindred spirit. The voice cast features Dylan O'Brien, Angela Bassett, Justin Theroux, and Peter Cullen.

5 stars (Exceptional) A genuinely good and heartfelt film, especially when compared to the others in this franchise, where my biggest issue with it is a fanboy-ish nitpick with the first Decepticon killed. ~Vesper Lord
