Aroview: A refit of the 1970s classic about a Volkswagon 'beetle' with a mind of its own, with Lohan playing a the teenage daughter of a race-driver (Keaton) who is gifted the cheeky vehicle and determines to win a pro drag race. Innocent of any possible subversion or irony, this remake benefits from its clean and shining exterior, and a few humourous leers to the camera by Matt Dillon, as Lohan's nasty opponent.

2 stars (Good Try) Herbie always was a brilliant idea and the Herbie segments in this follow up are still worth the time. The rest is more typical Disney family fodder but Lindsay L is fine as usual. ~Tubbs
