Aroview: The director of LADY BIRD turns her attention to a classic text in the coming-of-age genre, the oft-filmed story based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott. Her thematically rich adaptation explores the young adult lives of the March sisters in post-Civil War New England with contemporary relevance.

5 stars (Exceptional) Very fine acting, photography & composition. Filmed in Alcott's original 17thC home. Terrific extras fit this 1857 classic into a modern context. Brilliant script & direction by Gerwig. Outstanding in every respect.~Sandy
